Boca Pointe goes to the Movies
BOCA POINTE CHAPTER WENT TO THE MOVIES
More than 140 members and guests signed up to attend Boca Pointe Chapter’s latest Movie/Fundraiser, which featured The Help.
The screening took place at 9:00 a.m. and was followed by a great lunch at Bonefish Grill – which normally isn’t open for lunch – where our special movie reviewer engaged us in a lively and insightful discussion of the movie and its message.
As always, net proceeds (approximately $3,000) will go to Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Here are some tips for those of you who would like to plan a Movie Event for your chapter:
• Expect to spend some time and effort on research, and start planning well in advance:
1. Research movie scheduled openings (Google).
2. Find a conveniently-located movie theatre and negotiate an early-morning showing.
3. Find a good, conveniently-located restaurant that doesn’t normally serve lunch
