Papanicolaou Corps for Cancer Research

More than 20,000 men and women in 50 units and 4 honorary Units throughout Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties are united in their commitment to raise essential funds that will maintain ongoing cancer research projects at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. In the past six years alone, their efforts have resulted in contributions of more than $21 million to aid in the search for the cure.  

Our 2009 Contribution to Cancer Research

On May 7^th, 2009, during it’s monthly Presidents’ Breakfast Meeting at Boca West Country Club, the Papanicolaou Corps for Cancer Research donated $3 million to Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.  We are extremely proud that 99.1% of the money we raise goes directly to fund critical research programs at Sylvester.  Representing a year of intensive fundraising efforts on the part of each unit and their members, the following outlines the vital programs these funds will support this year:

1. In Memory and In Honor of Wall. – A 1x5” plaque will include an individual or couple’s name only for a donation of $200 - $499. - A 2x5” plaque on this wall is $500-$999. The individual or couple’s name only will appear on this plaque.

2. Major Contributors. – Plaques of various sizes (1x5” to 6x15”) for donations of $1,000 or more with the individual or couple’s name, as well as a brief message may appear on these plaques.

3. Pap Angel Pledge A special group within the Pap Corps of individuals who have pledged a total of $1,000 payable over a five-year period. On completion, a 2x5” plaque is placed on the Pap Angel Wall.
